Tween and Teen Tuesdays

Looking for fun, friendship, and a challenge throughout the school year?  Check out the programs for

1st Tuesday - Are You Smarter Than a 4th Grader?  Come try your knowledge with local 4th graders helping you!  Cash prizes!  Snacks provided by the Friends of the Library.  

2nd Tuesday - Duct Tape Tuesday

Every Tuesday, 3:30 - 4:00 pm, Study Buddies for 1st-3rd graders. Volunteens work with a buddy on spelling words, math, or reading.  This is a time when you can make homework FUN!!

April National Poetry Month!

SEFE students grades K-12 are eligible to enter the
Veedersburg Public Library's
National Poetry Month
CONTEST
This year’s theme will correspond with the
2010 Summer Reading Program
Make a Splash – READ” for K – 3rd
Make Waves at Your Library – READ” for 4th – 12th
Entries will be accepted between April 1st - 15th!







Only poems written with the theme will be judged for prizes.
K – 3rd theme: “Make a Splash – READ"
4th – 12th theme:  “Make Waves at Your Library – READ” 

Entry Guidelines:
1.  Entrants may submit work in the following combined grades:
K-34-67-89-1011-12
2. Text must be printed legibly (or typed) on 8 1/2” by 11” paper.   You may pick up an entry form at the Veedersburg Library, or use your own paper.  The poem must be on one side of the paper with the entrant’s name, address and phone on the back of the page.  Illustrations are encouraged.

3. Children who cannot write may dictate the poem to an adult.

4. Entries must be received on or before April 15, 2010. Poems can be turned in to either the Veedersburg Library or school office.  Winners will be announced on April 26th, 2010 at 2 pm.

5. One entry per person.

6.  Participants agree to allow their poems to be posted on the Library website:  www.c-vpl.org

7.  Prizes will be awarded by the Veedersburg Friends of the Library.

Tuesday, March 23rd - For those of you not vacationing out of town, we will be having Duct Tape Tuesday again and this time making Candy Baskets (to use for Easter.)
